Urban Decay & Estee Lauder Review
So me, being me, I started a blog off and now I've decided that since I have more time I can honestly do this.
So, this is one of the first primers that I've ever bought since I used to not really bother with make up as much as I do now, I'm slightly addicted.
So the description that the website gave is "Dull skin? Fine lines? Disappearing foundation? Try our Brightening & Tightening Complexion Primer Potion for beautifully moisturised skin that looks brighter and feels tighter.Dull skin, fine lines and disappearing foundation? Try this primer from Urban Decay under foundation (or alone!)"
I honestly have to admit, as someone who would normally wash my face and then slap moisturiser on my face and then foundation straight on, using a primer especially this primer makes my feel even more moisturised so I can wear my foundation a lot easier and keep my foundation lasting for a while than it normally would, with me. I also quite like just using this without foundation and going out with just primer on my face, it makes my face feel fresh and lovely.
Still on the conversation about primer, I bought the normal eye shadow potion primer which again is in the same kind of potion like design as the normal primer, which is quite nice and lovely, but with this there is a wand which you can easy wipe over your eyes before rubbing in, which is quite nice because you don't need much.
I have to admit, I've never worn eye shadow primer, ever. Just like the normal primer, and the different it makes my eyes feels is so lovely, I don't feel like I have an heavy eye lid when I put eye shadow on top, it feels like even when I'm just wearing the basic colour, my eyes are still bright and a lot aware and not even too heavy.
Honestly, it's one of the best buys, they both are but the prices are far to pricey for me, For both £19 and £16, it's worth it but not to use constantly.
As much as I LOVE urban decay, the foundation is def something I wouldn't buy, ever again. My colour matches which isn't the problem but I feel because it's heavy it's not that great in summer. You, honestly don't need that much for coverage which is quite lovely, so easy to use and you don't need to go crazy to cover everything.
If you're having a bad day, and you slap this on, it does define all the bad areas, I've noticed so it's kinda something I try and use if I'm feeling great or going out on the night out because it does define. At first because it's quite creamy, it feels like there's something on your face but after a while it feels like there's nothing there. It does what it says on the tin, but my only problem is just the pricing, when I could get foundation for under £15 to £10.
I honestly, honestly love Naked Flushed, I have the naked one due to the blusher is very, very bright on all the others which is something I don't quite like. So, I went for the Naked one which is quite nice and lovely, it's not too harsh on the eyes and just helps to define cheeks and jawbones a lot easier and it's not heavy on the eyes unlike what I've noticed with Sleek contouring kit that I first bought.
It's easy to brush on and to be honest, unless you're going for the heavy, heavy definition look on the face, it's not that bad. I honestly quite enjoy using it. It's one of my favourite, favourite pieces of make up. It's worth £25, it's a good £25 that I've spent.
It's currently not on sale, but there is the next one up which is darker which is currently on sale.
I love my winged eyeliner, just like any other creepy girl at the moment and I feel like this pen is only one of the best eyeliners, that I've ever used. It's waterproof which is lovely but then sometimes it can be really hard to get off which is a massive dislike.
Another dislike, I really do hate is that the price and how much it lasts for but checking out the website it does have Urban Reloaded where you can spend £14 ($20) for them to send you a new one every 3 months which is easier and a lot lovely, because when you run out of eyeliner, my whole world comes crushing down which is something that can destroy a lot of people. Every girl deserves her wings to be on fleek.
Estee Lauder are currently now my favourite place to get lipsticks from. I spent over £100 on all three lipsticks and two lip liners which are both currently lovely and I'm so glad that I did, I've never looked back, to be honest with you.
I have to admit there is nothing satisfying than clicking your lipstick with the lid and pushing it down but with Estee Lauder, the caps are magnet and I've never felt so powerful after I've put a swatch on my lip and then closed the lid for it to automatically click, it's a sense of power and being. I've had them now for at least 2 months and I could never, ever part from them, ever. The purple (Shameless Violet) and the pink (Stronger) are by favourite my two favourite colours, they work with nude eyes, or even the eyes match the colour. I have nothing really bad to say about these.
In addition, I also bought two lip liners. One of them matches Desirous (the brown) and the other lip liner matches both Shameless Violet and Stronger. The Desirous lip liner is nude and the other is quite pinkish to match, you can wear both liners as just on top if you don't want the heavy lipstick.
They're double wear which is lovely, so if you want a nude lip, you've got it without wearing lipstick, they go on fairly easily. Out of everything, I've bought the Estee Lauder is honestly, worth the money in my mind, the only thing that's negative is that you need a sharpener for the lip liner pencils, and if you don't have one you're kinda fucked in a way.
Hope you've all enjoyed.
I'm expecting a package coming this week from MUA and Make Up Revolution, so keep an eye out for that coming up either this week or next. I will also being reviewing some games that I bought this week for PC, so keep an eye out if you enjoy that.
Bye,
Ruby x
