MUA Lipstick Review // First of Many Packages
07:13MUA Lipstick Review // First Package
Okay, so I am basically a massive lover for lipsticks, like even when I feel completely down a new lipstick can practically save my life, well it depends on why I'm feeling down, and if I can really afford it but then again with the price of so many lipsticks being less than a fiver is completely wonderful. So two days ago, I ordered 4 lipsticks and some eye shadow brushes from MUA. I have to admit, looking at the different lipsticks they now have out is completely beautiful.
So let's talk about packaging, I ordered these products Monday night and I can't believe they came today, I've never been so excited to be able to get a package of make up that quickly, in my entire life. Apart from when you buy it there and then, but there's always something satisfying about receiving something in the post. The packaging came wrapped in a brown letter inside the bag.
Nothing was damaged, nothing was ripped and it came in like a space of two days which is always, always fantastic. All products where there and none was damage which is even more amazing, because we all hate it when we order something and it either comes broken or not even there, am I right? Haha.
As you can tell I ordered 4 different lip sticks and 4 eye shadow brushes which I will review when my palettes come from Make Up Revolution, and a lot of wrapping all over the place due to being very excited to open the package.
The four colours I got from MUA was left bottom is Parma Violet which is the light purple colour, Flamingo which is the baby pink colour on top of the light purple colour. On the right there is Persian Rose which is on the bottom, and Barely There which is on top of Persian Rose.
I honestly thought these colours were completely lovely, I've always been wanting a nude but not too nude colour along side a baby pink that's not too pink in my face, for £1.50 on all four colours, you can't go wrong. I feel pretty good about spending that much on these lipsticks.
I will admit that Flamingo did break on me as soon as I whirled the lipstick up. So, even though they are good for their money and the colours are nice, they are easily breakable, so handle with care!
After opening them up and having a look inside, I decided to do what we all do best, coat a line of the colour on my arm. Barely There is a light colour of my actually arm, which is quite lovely.
Persian Rose is possibly one of the best bright pinks that I've ever came across so far in my entire life, some days I kinda do want to have that smokey black eye and then a bright lip colour on my lips to draw attention to them and I honestly think that Persian Rose is one of the best colours to do so it's one of the reasons why I'm already completely in love with it.
Next too it on the right is Flamingo, honestly the colour doesn't match up to what I thought it would be like, it's nearly non existence on my skin which sometimes doesn't have to be a bad thing on lips, but I feel that I'll only be getting Flamingo out when I don't want to have anything drawn to my lips.
Last but not least we come to Parma Violet. I was honestly disappointed with this colour, I generally thought it would of been a bright light purple, clear and eye catching but it's not and that clearly disappoints me.
After doing the skin test about the colours, I decided to put them on my lips, to see what the feel and what the colour is like, and I have to admit Barely There, Persian Rose and Flamingo actually do work quite well on the lips, which is quite nice. On the other hand Parma Violet doesn't, but I can see myself using that for just the middle part where I have a dark purple around the edges to make an ombre look.
For lipsticks that only worth £1.50 each, I think they're worth the price.
